A five-minute walk from the beach, The Orange House is an easy-going South Coast escape for couples, friends and families who appreciate a beach house with a little personality. Behind its crisp white exterior you’ll find warm timber, teak furniture, original design pieces and flashes of orange that give the house its name.
The house has been fully rebuilt in 2026 including all new amenities, but it embraces its 60s and 70s inspiration. There is original timber panelling, a wonderfully orange kitchen, retro bathroom details and carefully chosen mid-century furniture, including a pair of classic Relling Siesta chairs.
Set across two levels, the house sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms, making it particularly well suited to a couple, two couples, or a family. Downstairs is a queen bedroom with air conditioning, while upstairs you’ll find a second queen bedroom and a room with single bunk beds. There are two bathrooms, one on each level, with a bath and laundry facilities downstairs.
The living areas are comfortable and made for switching off after a day at the beach, with smart TVs, a soundbar and plenty of space to settle in. The kitchen is well equipped for relaxed holiday cooking, whether that’s breakfast before a swim or dinner at home with a bottle of wine. Canine guests are welcome too and the backyard is securely fenced.
Outside, the generous balcony, Weber BBQ and sun chairs make an easy spot for an afternoon drink or a casual meal, and Fido can safely supervise the road. Or in the colder months, light a fire and snuggle up.
Currarong itself is the real attraction. Spend your days swimming, exploring the beaches and rock pools, walking the surrounding coastal and bush trails, or simply doing very little. Then wander home and wash yourself off under the outdoor shower. Feel free to put your feet up in a Siesta chair, listen to the ocean and settle into the slower rhythm of The Orange House.

Location
The surrounding area is ideal for guests who love a combination of beach days, nature and relaxed coastal adventures. Currarong Creek and the nearby beach are only a short stroll away, while the village has a local café for coffee and casual meals. The Currarong Bowlo is only 3 minutes on foot – head down for a casual meal, a drink or a game of barefoot bowls – no car required! For additional shops, cafés and amenities, Callala Bay is approximately a 15-minute drive away.
For outdoor adventures, explore the scenic trails of stunning Abrahams Bosom Reserve, discover the area's natural rock pools or venture further along the Beecroft Peninsula to experience sheltered beaches, dramatic cliffs and spectacular coastal viewpoints.
Currarong is also close to Jervis Bay Marine Park, making the wider area particularly appealing for swimming, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing and wildlife experiences.
