We feel so lucky to have been able to spend time in such a special property. The kids spent hours hide-and-seeking while we relaxed with good food, wine and extended family. Bliss!

Enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of Bangalla. Great to experience the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay but so lovely to retreat back to the peacefulness of the property. The pool was thoroughly enjoyed by all !!

If you’re looking for a slice of luxurious heaven outside the Byron rush (but close enough to enjoy its pleasures), Bangalla is perfect. It’s an absolutely gobsmackingly beautiful old Queenslander on 30 acres, that has been luxuriously restored with immaculate landscaping, modern amenities and luxury details. We booked for a family get-together for a week, and enjoyed lots of walks, board games, shared meals, bottles of wine and BBQs. Being mid-winter, the house did get a little chilly so if you come at that that time of year, pack your uggs. Thick, super-warm doonas on the beds kept us toasty at night, and the modern gas fire in the loungeroom was also great. Our kids found the somewhat rusty internet access a little challenging, but for me that was a bonus – they had little choice but to get out and enjoy the beautiful house and gardens. I highly recommend Bangalla – it was spectacular, and the property managers were wonderful.
