Rusty Miller Surf:

Personalised surf coaching sessions with well-known and respected local surfer, Rusty Miller and his daughter, Taylor. Exclusive license for teaching ‘one-on-one’ at Wategos Beach, at the tip of Cape Byron Headland, Australia’s most easterly point, and also at the iconic surfing beach, The Pass. A former surf Champion, Rusty moved to Byron Bay in 1970 and is Byron Bay’s original surfing teacher. He was also first to surf Uluwatu, Bali, which was filmed for cult Australian surf film, Morning of the Earth. At Rusty Miller Surf, you learn about surf culture, the magic of connecting with nature through surfing and harmonising with the energy of the ocean. Rusty and Taylor will accompany and study you in the surf and pass on their knowledge and expertise to advance and enhance your surf skill. There is so much more happening in these surf sessions than just sliding onto the waves off Cape Byron. Come and join them to enhance your surf through life. Go Sea Kayak:

Experience the natural beauty of Byron Bay’s Marine National Park from your own sea kayak. Paddle out with dolphins, whales, turtles and other marine life with a highly trained team of surf lifesavers and local watermen and women accompanying you. The Marine Park is home to an estimated group of 100 bottlenose dolphins. From June each year, whale watching season begins and until November, you can view majestic humpback whales during their migration season when they head to warm waters off Queensland, then return to the cooler waters of Antarctica with their calves.
