Harkaway is a wonderfully restored original cottage located on Kingsley St, just a few minutes walk to Byron’s main street and less than 10 minutes stroll to Byron’s spectacular Main Beach. The property combines all the character and charm of an original cottage with all the modern conveniences you could wish for on your holiday away.

Perfect for family getaways, this charming cottage features 3 comfortable bedrooms: a Queen, a Double, and a third with 2 sets of bunks, accommodating 8 guests with ease. The 2 bathrooms include a relaxing bath in one. Polished timber floorboards run throughout, with ceiling fans in all rooms and reverse cycle air conditioning in both the main living area and kitchen, ensuring comfort in any season.

Unwind in the cosy lounge while enjoying the extensive complimentary DVD collection on the large 42″ flat screen TV, or retreat to the master bedroom which features a second 32″ TV with built-in DVD player. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for guests’ convenience.

The spacious backyard features a gas BBQ, perfect for outdoor cooking during those balmy Byron evenings. The kitchen has been designed with the home chef in mind, well-stocked for cooking up a storm. Not in the mood to cook? An array of wonderful cafés and restaurants are just 100m away. This prime location means you can leave the car behind! There’s 1 off-street parking space available, with 2-hour free street parking nearby.

Harkaway house was such a joy to stay at–a real homely feel. It made our holiday in Byron much better and so relaxing. It was the best of everything. We will definitely be coming back to this property every time we come to Byron. Thank you!

This charming cottage, close to the shops and an easy walk to the beach, has ample room for a family or group that want to spread out, relax, rest or entertain. The welcoming verandah leads into a beautifully decorated house with endless thoughtful touches for example-sand toys/beach umbrella and portable chairs!. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and there are inside and outdoor eating areas. The garden has a tropical theme that adds to the ambiance. Harkaway was exactly what we needed while in town for our daughters wedding weekend. A joy.

The house was so lovely, we felt at home (we wish). Such a relaxing stay, it was such a joy to stay at Harkaway, a real homely feel. It made our holiday in Byron that much better, so relaxing. Experienced great coffee and lovely beaches in Byron Bay. Staff were fantastic to find us a nice house to stay in at short notice and a great price. Location is a very quiet street and central to town. We will definitely stay again
