We had a wonderful stay here. The layout of the house is ideal for a family, as their are two separate living areas and bathrooms, upstairs and down, which gave the kids a sense of freedom when we weren’t at the beach or exploring waterfalls. The house was quite clean, though there were quite a lot of cob webs and spiders around, but I guess that’s something you have to expect in a house on the edge of the bush. The walk down to the beach isn’t a long one, but walking back up the hill was tough going. Having said that, the proximity to the pub and local shops is pretty convenient, so it’s a small price to pay. And after a nice meal in town, it gives you a sense that you’re working off the food you just ate, so we saw the positive side of it. One minor negative was the lack of wifi. For the price we paid, I thought that would have been a given. It was great to switch of for a while, but if you’re like me and you still need to work while you’re on holiday, it’s not ideal. Hopefully the owners can rectify this soon, bcause it’s a bit of a sticking point and would make me think twice about staying here again. Also, the beds downstairs are quite small, so fine for kids, but no good for taller adults. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and the house has a really warm, light and homely feel to it.
